Java Tsunami Death Toll Reach 237

Jakarta, Indonesia-Relief -- Tsunami that hit southern coast of West Java and Central Java has killed more than 237 peoples. The biggest number of victims, 184 peoples, found in beach resort area of Pangandaran, Ciamis district, West Java, and neigbhoring district of Tasik Malaya, nearest to the earthquake epicentrum, 91 people found death.
In Central Java, the biggest victim recorded at Cilacap where 67 people found death. Another 6 people found death in neigboring district of Kebumen. While in Gunung Kidul, part of Yogyakarta, two peoples found death.
According to search and rescue team from Indonesian army, police, and local NGO in Pangandaran, until Tuesday 10.AM, they have confirmed 184 people death in Pangandaran beach. In neigbhoring subdistricts they found 35 people death:
Cimerak (4), Cijulang (5), Parigi (6), Sidamulih (15) and Kalipucang (5). Total death from this district recorded at
Several foreign tourists, according to Detik.com, found death in Pangandaran: 3 from Saudi Arabia, 1 Pakistan, 1 Netherland, 1 Japanese, and 1 Swedish.
Hundreds injured victims also have been evacuated to Banjar public hospital, in Banjar city, capital of Ciamis. Among the victims are, according to Bisnis Indonesia daily new, several foreign toursts: a family of three from Saudi Arabia (Hamad, 40 years old; Yusus Mamed, 12; Aliyah, 11) two from Netherland (Rinus Hower, 59; Laura, 14), and a Japanese (Ashida, 62).
In Cilacap, as of 8.45 AM, 67 peoples found death in subdistrict of Binangun, Adipala, Nusawungu, and Southern Cilacap. Total numbers from Cilacap will increased as so far the victims data came from local villager report to the local government, while the search and rescue team hasn't started their work yet, Antara news agency said.
In subdistrict of Adipala, villagers found 20 peoples death, while in Binangun they found 14 people. In Nusawungu, 3 people also found death. Similar numbers recorded at South Cilacap.
A lot of numbers of victims is expected to be recorded from several coastal cities and subdistrict in West Java and Central Java. In West Java there are several coastal city in southern coast: Sindang Barang, Cidaun (Cianjur), Cikelet, Pamengpeuk (Garut) the nearest area form the earthquake epicentrum), and Pangandaran (Ciamis). In Central Java: Cilacap, Banyumas (Sumpyuh), and Kebumen. ***
